Welcome to Temple B'nai Abraham
Welcome to the TBA website. Whether you are a member or considering membership, we hope to give you a warm welcome online as well as in person at our services, group events, and many celebrations.
We have a sizable, committed congregation that is dedicated to the synagogue; a large, hardworking group of lay leaders; and lively Temple groups, including Sisterhood – the Women’s Connection, Men’s Club, Prime Time, Social Action Committee, and others. Learn more about TBA.
We were founded in Newark in 1853. Recognizing the migration of Newark’s Jewish community to western Essex County in the 1960s, the congregation built a new home in Livingston, moving in 1973. Our building offers a variety of flexible spaces that allow us to host a range of events and religious services. We are committed to its safety and vibrancy, always making sure it will serve the needs of our congregational family. Learn more about TBA's history.
We hope you find what you need on our site. Our office can be reached by email or at 973-994-2290 if you have any questions.
